We have over 1000 hectares of hiking available to guests, we don’t offer complete marked trails as being the last protected piece of the Magaliesberg mountain, we don’t wat to cause erosion in the mountains, by people following the same routes constantly, so on arrival we give you a map, with guidelines, and the start to trails are marked. It is very beautiful and you can decide where and for how long you would like to hike You will find crystal clear mountain pools on the trails, and these are ideal for swimming, you can also drink the flowing water. We have many wild animals that roam free, but its safe to hike around them, we giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, many buck etc We do also offer guided hikes, for those that would prefer a guide, to take them to some of the highlights, and help navigate the hikes. After the hikes, we have a restaurant on site, that you are welcome to book at, and we also have a main swimming pol area, where you can braai or picnic. We also have camping huts, chalets and log cabins, should you wish to stay over with us, and enjoy more time in the sanctuary. Permits are not required for hiking MSP however MCSA (mountain club of SA) is bordering us, and does require permit to enter the kloof, however this is only recommended for avid hikers, with experience as the hikes are longer and strenuous) As a first time visitor to the sanctuary, we would suggest first exploring and enjoying the 1000 hectares we have to offer, before venturing into the kloofs
